Kanye West Goes Goliath On His Fans…

Modern Day Goliath?

Modern Day Goliath?

When I say “self-absorbed” you think… Hollywood, right? Actually, I think of the O.C., Season 1, the Chrismukkah Episode — but that’s entirely too embarrassing of a thought to finish. It’s true, the city of angels is not lacking people who think they’re the reason Los Angeles has been coined as such. If you take two seconds to think why many celebrities are celebrities, it’s a tad ridiculous. The average conversation might go like this:

You: What have you done in your life that makes you deserving of your fame?
Celebrity: Well, in front of a really expensive camera, I pretended to be somebody else really good and everybody liked it.

That’s great. Here’s ten million dollars.

When it comes to ego maniacs, there is no one bigger than Kanye West. In his latest fit of stupidity he told Vibe Magazine, “I wanna make popular music, but I want less fans. I want the freedom of having less fans. It’s like the freedom of having less money.” That’s almost as dumb as anything Jessica Simpson has said in the last five years. Imagine Kobe Bryant or Dwayne Wade saying, “I want to make game winning shots, but I want to lose more games.” David Stern would immediately administer drug tests to both of them. The world hasn’t seen arrogance like this since Goliath and the Philistines showed up on a field in Israel.

Kanye went on to say, “I definitely feel like, in the next however many years, if I work out for two months, that I’ll pose naked.”

Finally, Kanye said something that could be classified as semi-intelligent. He wants less fans.

That will undoubtedly do it.

One comment for “Kanye West Goes Goliath On His Fans…”

  1. It’s “FEWER”, Kanye! “FEWER fans”, not “LESS fans”. It’s the English language, not rocket science.
